here is a dire need for Muslim communities to unify and create a place of support for one another within the global community. We are living in an era when the western educational system and the workplace enforce a lack of faith and passivism. Even a Muslim who adheres to the very minimal Islamic traditions and practices is an outcast and seen as ‘extreme’ by western society, sometimes by other Muslims as well. While many may resist complying with western thought, some begin to shed their Muslim identity to conform to the larger society.
…MT forms a platform for the intergenerational exchange of ideas and experiences which we hope will effectively aid in building better communal relations…
We at MSA-PSG believe MATIN Talks can create the perfect opportunity for Muslim communities to address and seek ways to ameliorate this situation. MATIN Talks is a platform for the intergenerational exchange of ideas and experiences which we hope will effectively aid in building better communal relations for all members and most importantly for our youth. We hope to increase community involvement both at the local and national level, while strategically preparing the grounds to take on our Islamic responsibilities as Muslims in the west.
Held Every Year only at MSA-PSG
MATIN Talks National is held every year at the MSA-PSG annual conference.
This year MATIN Talks National will be held virtually due to COVID-19.
